Top up just once for multiple washes. Bosch i-DOS washing machines come with two separate chambers. One stores 1.3 litres of liquid detergent, another stores 0.5 litres of liquid softener. Simply fill up the chambers when the alert comes on. You won’t need to do another refill until many loads later.
